MRT…inconveniently convenient

I was amazed with how the people in manila get to there destinations in the shortest time possible by means of MRTs. This has been  the main mode of transportation for those edsa commuters. MRTs are at its peak during weekdays and stations like ayala and ortigas were the busiest during the first and last few hours of the day. Even people who have cars opted to take the train just to get to there respective destinations on time.  I  simply enjoyed taking the mrt rides amidst the mild stampede upon entering and leaving the train…crazy ba? hehe…this is maybe because we dont have MRTs in davao yet. Inside the train, i get to rub elbows with busiest people from all walks of life, and shhhhhh….. and even evesdropping to some of their conversations. Well, there are still a few gentlemen who would offer seats to the elderly and ladies standing on the aisle. Can’t blame others for not offering there seats, after battling with the long pile of people lining up for the ticket and the train ride and not to count the bz schedule in the workplace, they must’ve been very very tired. For a visitor like me, MRT gave me the easiest access to the different malls and hotspots (tiangges and gimikan) in the city… Signages and directions were reader friendly… I just took my last mrt ride from taft to cubao and felt kinda nostalgic. No more waiting at the stations, no more squeezing in among the crowd of commuters and no more balancing along the poles inside the train…I will surely miss the incoveniently convenient mrt rides…
