OUCH!
Woke up yesterday with a painful left eye. As a nurse, i immediately placed ice over it to numb the pain. It worked..for sometime though. Went on 3-11 duty still with a pain in my eye and a little swelling on the eyebag. Went home after duty and surprise to see that it was now erythematous. Huh? what could this be?… This morning, went to see a doctor and he said i have what we called hordeolum with cellulitis! oh no! That explains the redness, pain and swelling… Asked him if how long it will be like this and he said about 5 to 7 days. Imagine that?… He gave me ophthalmic drops and prescribed me with antibiotics. Hope it will subside sooner..sooner than 5 days.
